Webinars, also called webcasts, are multimedia presentations that enable publishers to provide enhanced content and audience marketing via the Internet. A webinar may include video and/or audio of a presenter or panel, together with PowerPoint slides, polling, Q&A, URL links, and much more information that can be archived online for a specific period of time with 24/7 viewing capabilities.

They can be presented in a variety of formats to accommodate particular editorial or audience preferences, either live, or pre-recorded. Webinar attendees need only an Internet connection and Windows or Real Media player to participate.

These webinars can be used by procurement executives to effectively deliver business-critical information, provide customer support, train new employees, and market products or services to targeted audiences. These web-based seminars are also a cost-effective and interactive means for communicating their messages to business decision makers.
