Talent management still posing BPO challenge
Unearthing talent remains one of the biggest challenges facing companies running Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operations on the Indian Subcontinent, a leading figure has claimed.
Pankaj Vaish, global MD for Accenture’s Delivery Centre Network for BPO, told the Economic Times that talent management in the outsourcing industry was still posing problems in the country.
“The biggest challenge,” he said, “remains finding the right talent and growing leaders.”
Vaish said that clients aiming to grow their outsourcing operations in India were increasingly looking “beyond cost savings” in order to concentrate on value.
Companies were also seeking BPO agreements with larger risk-reward trade-off.
“They want us to share the risk and the rewards for bringing in greater efficiencies,” he said.~
“And these are things driving the bundling of services – technology, consulting and BPO.”
