This Privacy Policy explains how Procurement Leaders Limited (Procurement Leaders) collects and uses the personal information provided via our websites as well as related applications, services, and programs offered by Procurement Leaders.

1 Information we collect

1.1 Online forms

We collect information from visitors to our websites when completing online forms. Personal information is data that identifies you and includes (but is not limited to) your name, business or personal email address, job title, organisation, organisation’s address, direct telephone number.


1.2 Members

If you are a member of Procurement Leaders and access the restricted members only areas of our websites, Procurement Leaders may collect additional information relating to your participation in Procurement Leaders products and services. We also may obtain information about your access and use of Procurement Leaders research materials, decision-support tools, and other online and offline products and services.


1.3 Profile

You have choices about the information on your profile, such as your topics of interests, work experience, skills, and photo. Profile information helps you to get more from our services.


1.4 Award nomination entries

When individuals complete a nomination for the Future Leader, Lifetime Achievement and Procurement Leader awards, they submit their information and that of the nominee in an application form. Any personal information that is provided is used to review the nomination. The information about the winner may also be published on our website, in our magazine and social media channels.


1.5 Community areas and discussion forums

In certain community areas on the Procurement Leaders websites, members can locate other members who are able to help them deal with specific questions and challenges. By providing personal information for publishing to a profile in community areas, you acknowledge and agree that members can see and use that information, and that their use is not subject to the terms of this Policy.


1.6 Live Chat service

We use a third-party provider, Snap Engage, to supply and support our Live Chat service, which we use to handle customer enquiries in real time. If you use the Live Chat service we will collect your email address, if provided, and the contents of your Live Chat session.


1.7 Information collected by third parties

When you visit our website, we automatically collect and analyse certain information about your computer. This information includes but may not be limited to the IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet, information about your browser type and language and the date and time you are accessing our websites. Third parties may use cookies and other technologies to collect information about your online activities. The purposes for collecting this information include: to measure usage of our websites; to analyse, modify, and personalise content on our websites. 2 How we use the information that we collect

Procurement Leaders processes personal information collected via our websites and registration forms for the following legitimate interests:


2.1 Services

We use your data to authenticate you and authorize access to our services. We administer your membership and facilitate your access to Procurement Leaders resources, decision-support tools, and other materials available to you through your Program subscription. We may provide reservation or booking services for our events.


2.2 Communications & marketing

Your information may be used to send you details of those products or services that we offer that we have identified as likely to be of interest to you. This will be in accordance with any communication preferences that you may have indicated when you completed a data capture form.

We also enable communications between you and others through our services. We will use data about you to suggest connections for you and others (e.g. Match & Meet Event Hub platform) and enable you to invite others to connect with you. You may change your communication preferences at any time here.


2.3 At events

We may provide relevant information for hospitality and safety purposes to hotels and venues hosting our events. At some of our events we may use RFID-enabled badges (which we use to track your location around our event venue so we can better understand your areas of interest). You can opt to have your personal details anonymised at point of collection.


2.4 Payments

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider (WorldPay) and are not stored or processed on our servers.


2.5 Surveys and research

We may communicate with you about surveys, marketing, promotions, events, educational forums, and other exclusive opportunities offered by Procurement Leaders and its partners and affiliates. You are not obligated to respond to surveys.


2.6 Customer support

We use the data (which can include your communications) needed to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and service issues.


2.7 Aggregate insights

We use your information to produce aggregate insights that do not identify you. For example, we may use your data to generate statistics about users, their profession or industry and the number of pages served or clicked on.


2.8 Data retention

We retain the personal data you provide while your membership is in existence or as needed to provide you services as listed in this policy. Data may persist in copies made for back up and business continuity purposes for additional time, including information required for regulatory and legal compliance.

For legitimate business purposes connected with the provision of Procurement Leaders goods, services, and benefits for executive customers.

Where you have downloaded a whitepaper and/or watched a webinar from that partner or you have subscribed to attend an event where partners are present.

When we believe it is appropriate to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities; to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Procurement Leaders, our customers, or others; and in connection with our Terms of use and other agreements.

In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.

Procurement Leaders believes that it is important that individuals are given the opportunity to exercise choice with respect to how their personal information is collected and used.

In some cases, Procurement Leaders members can directly access their online profiles and other personal details, enabling them to amend, update or add information at any time by logging into their profile page. Procurement Leaders has implemented reasonable technical and organizational security measures to help protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information.


5.2 International transfers of personal information

Procurement Leaders operates the Websites in the United Kingdom and, depending on your country of residence, the submission of personal information to our Websites may involve some transfer of personal information to the United Kingdom. Your data may be accessed by Procurement Leaders’ employees and contracted processors outside of the United Kingdom.


5.3 Links to other websites

To provide increased value to users of our websites, we may provide links to other websites or resources that are not part of the Procurement Leaders network of Programs.
